Peter JosephCARTERRetired Solicitor and Notary Public. He was surrounded by his wife Celsa and his three sons Christopher, Peter and Paul, and he had received the sacrament and rites of the Roman Catholic Church. The Requiem Mass was officiated at St. Jerome's Church, Formby in the absence of Rev. Mgr John Walsh, the Mass was kindly officiated by Father. Vernard Higham, now at Our Lady Of Compassion, Formby, who was accompanied by Hms Priest from Herbert House, Freshfield, songs in English and Latin were sung at the Mass. His body was taken to lie together with his parents in Landican Cemetery, Wirral, following a short ceremony by Deacon. Joe Moreland from St. Jerome's. The Family, his brother John and sister in law Anne attended the ceremony and old time friends from the Wirral. Peter's wife and children now wish to thank all those many friends who sent lovely Mass cards, condolence cards and beautiful flowers, thanks also to the organist at the church, to Beryl Wilkinson who helped Mrs. Carter to cope with the difficult schedule, together with the Funeral directors, Dean Brothers from Formby.
